Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod missionary Rev. Glenn Fluegge surveys the African theological-education efforts he has been involved with for 14 years. The LCMS actively supports Lutheran seminaries in Sudan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar and South Africa.  Strengthening Lutheran seminaries around the world is one of six mission priorities set by Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, president of the LCMS. Coming alongside the Lutheran church-body leaders in these countries, the LCMS has provided assistance, including personnel, scholarships and grant dollars.
